Welcome to the Surrey First Education website.
Our group consists of six members, all seeking re-election in 2022 – current School Board Chair Laurie Larsen, Vice Chair Terry Allen, and Trustees Shawn Wilson, Gary Tymoschuk, Bob Holmes, and Garry Thind.
Despite our different backgrounds we discovered that we could work cooperatively in the best interest of the students, teachers, staff and administrators. The result was the creation of Surrey First Education.
“Our SFE team has over 80 years of combined experience on the Surrey Board of Education,” says Gary Tymoschuk, President of Surrey First Education Society. “We have an amazing team of trustees who have consistently demonstrated a keen desire and strong focus to work together in order to make sound decisions that provide the best education for the children of our community, and give teachers, support staff and administrators the tools they need to be successful.”
